Update the PRE boards (berthold-pre.nup)

Open the master board's web interface and sign in as administrator.
Go to Firmware, upload berthold-pre.nup and start the update.
Every connected PRE board is updated in turn; do not power the system off until the page reports the update finished.

The package carries the board model, the version and a SHA-256 checksum: the master refuses a file that does not match or is corrupted.

Raw images (.bit / .bin)

For developers and for production programming only — not needed to update an instrument in the field. Program topBerthold.bit over JTAG with Vivado, or write topBerthold.bin to the board's configuration flash.

Berthold Portal FPGA Firmware

Processing firmware of the RadSpect PRE detector board (FPGA with MicroBlaze): pulse processing, triggers, counters, spectra, waveforms and high-voltage control. The main file is berthold-pre.nup, the update package installed from the master board's web interface. topBerthold.bit and topBerthold.bin are the raw images, for development and production programming.
