DT5771 — Incremental Upgrade

The DT5771 is a compact Smart Digital Multi-Channel Analyzer designed for Gamma and X-ray spectrometry. It integrates a single-input 64k-channel Digital MCA with 14-bit, 200 MS/s acquisition, FPGA-based DPP-PHA processing, and low-voltage preamplifier power supply capabilities.

The device is intended for high-resolution spectroscopy applications with semiconductor detectors such as HPGe and CZT, while also supporting scintillation detectors such as NaI and LaBr3. Through its Web Interface, users can configure acquisition parameters, monitor real-time spectra and statistics, manage waveform acquisition, perform peak fitting and energy calibration, and store data directly on the on-board memory.

What's in this package

An Incremental Upgrade is distributed as a file with the .DUP extension. It is an archive package containing updated firmware and software components for the DT5771 Smart Digital MCA. It does not replace the Operating System.

An Incremental Upgrade updates the Minor Version of the device only, leaving the Major Version unchanged. For example, if the current device version is 1.4, a valid Incremental Upgrade must have Major Version 1 and Minor Version greater than 4 — such as 1.5.

Incremental Upgrades do not support downgrades. Installing a version with a lower Minor Version than the one currently installed on the device is not permitted.

Installation

The upgrade can be installed directly from the DT5771 Web Interface via Ethernet or USB.

Users can either perform an Online Update, allowing the device to automatically check, download, verify, and install the available upgrade, or use the Manual Upload procedure by selecting the downloaded .DUP file from the Device Upgrade page.

After the upgrade file is uploaded and verified, the DT5771 automatically reboots and completes the installation during startup. Once the device is available again, the updated firmware and software versions can be checked from the Web Interface or from the on-board display.

Do not power off the device or close the browser during the upgrade process, as this may cause upgrade errors.
